Can we really buy something?

Please. It’s not a beautiful idea.

Transactions. I give something to you in the form of labor (or) a resource and you give me something in return. It’s that simple. Most of human life is spent within this cycle of transactions. Tons of agreements are signed, relationships are formed and broken, many people’s dream castles have been built and demolished just because of these simple transactions.

When one does something for me, they’re cutting a portion of their life and spending it for me. And, that’s including you, the reader, and me, trying my best to make a point. Both of our times are spent together now. No matter what we gift each other with, we can never bring back our time. It’s gone, and that’s it.

Beautiful things in this world can never be bought; they would never come under a payroll. They are not there because of something in-return. In fact, things become beautiful when they’re done without any expectations.
Forcing something or someone to serve us will spoil the whole thing.
Now, coming back to my initial query, can we really buy something?
I don’t know. But, as a fellow human, I feel that things fall into place naturally and joyfully when the work is done for the sake of it and for the well being of others (1). When this is truly understood, people will start to think of ways to contribute to the society with their skills and be grateful for each other’s help. (2)

That’s all I wanted to share with you. Have a good day! :)

  1. Open source is thriving because of this effect. Any Programmers here? :)
  2. Whereas, now, in contrast, most of the businesses are running to profit from others and to exploit the resources as much as they can.
